I am so fortunate to have been able to spend my entire career doing something that I really enjoy “building custom homes”. It only gets better from there because I have been able to do it with the most important person in my life my wife Kris. We are not only partners in marriage but partners in business. We built our first home together after only two years of marriage.
Our life together has been focused on our family and our career. We have two wonderful children and four really cool grandchildren. When we are not working or enjoying other interest we enjoy attending soccer, baseball, hockey, swim meets for our grandchildren, wow that is fun. Kris and I have always been active and enjoy many sports, right now my passion is running, its fun because Kris and I share that interest.
Along with our immediate family, Drew in our office has become part of our family and we enjoy working together, it is just a good fit. Also very important to us is our family of trade contractors and suppliers that we work with each day and the family of home owners that we have built for over the years. There is nothing more rewarding than to talk to someone we built a home for a short time ago or many years ago. Life is good!
I am Drew, a diverse individual with many passions and interests. I come with a BS degree in Construction Science from Western Michigan University. I also have a passion for learning as much as I can about “what is next” in the construction industry, as well as in life in general.
After my daughter told me that my singing sounded “like a pig in pain”, I decided to give up my aspirations to be discovered by American Idol and now focus my time helping others to be the best they can be. This is played out on a regular basis in two ways: by sitting on the Board of Education for a local public school and by mentoring young men of the community, with a special heart for those that have been incarcerated.
Even though I have had the privilege to travel to many areas around the globe, every time I come back to West Michigan, I know I am “home”. I live in Zeeland with my wife Angela (whom I decided to marry on our first date), teenage daughter, elementary age son, and our dog Sophie. We are a social family and enjoy “doing life together”.
I suppose I can sum it all up with this statement: “My goal is to build strong business and personal relationships, and to serve others in a way that can positively change the world.“
My name is Kris … w/a K. Always a chance someone will spell it right – for me it is about the details followed closely by creating a relationship. Important to do it right, to do it with a connection. That’s why having a company with my husband, best friend & partner brings the benefit to spend a lot of time together where we can focus on other couples/families who are looking to build a new home or modify their current. The Troxel Team consists of specialized talented individuals who take great care in their craft but who to me are more like my family, knowing them personally is very important to me.
Speaking of family, met Brian on a blind date which obviously was a success story where we lived happily ever after with a daughter followed by a son followed by a son-in-law followed by well you get it … four wonderful grandchildren. Our daughter teaches in the Zeeland Public School system & her husband has a local Holland business. Their two girls are very active in swimming & soccer. Our son lives in Petoskey & is a Public Safety Police Lieutenant & Fireman. His two boys love sports; hockey ranks highest followed by baseball/football. As grandparents we find ourselves as proud spectators at many events.
